When you can't sleep

So the time right now is 2:03 AM and I'm sitting here in the dark with a screwed up inner clock, and school starts tomorrow. I'm bored out of my mind and I can't sleep, for the past few days I've been sleeping a total 7 hours starting from 4:00 AM, anyways let me tell you about yesterday.

The Temptations concert was yesterday and I went with my family, Michael went aswell along with Sonia and Cathy. It was cool, I'll let you know the whole scoop. When we were in line waiting to go in we over hear a girl saying that pedestrians can't bring in outside food/drinks. At the time we were carrying a cooler filled with soda, of course we were going to get rejected. So instead I came up with a devious plan, to jump over the fence and make a trade off! So I jumped over with no problem because I am the man and then I head off to the main field to chill for a bit. I wait until my brother comes up to me and tells me that they don't allow coolers inside either, holy moly! So again I jumped the fence and made the trade off and returned the cooler to the car. When I got back I met up with Michael and the rest then my brother and I headed to the funnel cake line to get delicious funnel cake with a strawberry topping!

I don't want to tell you what we did in line for the funnel cake because we were in line for 45 minutes! We practically missed the whole concert, and let me tell you that $6.oo chocolate grazed funnel cake(THEY RAN OUT OF TOPPINGS) was totally not worth it. It tasted like oil and the chocolate made it even worse!

Anyways what I do want to say that I did in line is that I cheered a baby up, and maybe got a body scan from the mom Heeeeeeeey! She was carrying him and he kept mumbling "moooooom" in a sad tone. I love babies and children, so what I did is I played in a song with a piece of paper from my gum wrapper(been an expert at paper playing for 3 years now). The baby enjoyed the melody every time i played, the mom noticed it and kept looking at me. Of course I made no eye contact because I'm a big wuss. Well I know she's going to talk about this experience she had.

With that out of the way the next I'm going to write about, because I'm still not tired being it only 2:17 AM, is senior year and after that. I'm finally a senior, but I don't feel like one, which means that I'm top dog of the school. It may not look like it because I'm quite short and young looking, don't get jealous of my aging! I plan on going to R. Rex Parris and making up all my credits hopefully in time to make it back to school by December, both Michael and me. When we make it back I'm sure the party will get started.

I've been thinking hard about my future after PHS, and I've reached a conclusion. I know I've made plans with my friends about going to Canada. But look, I don't want to be a college graduate in Canada, hell nah USA USA! So first I'm going to chill for a year, gotta be a free bird for a year with a job maybe. Then after that I'll go to a community college, maybe AVC. After I get that done with I'll start looking into what I really want to do with my whole life. I'm not sure if you can move to another country and still pay bills for your books. If I can't move after college then it looks like I'll never reach my dream in moving to Canada. I guess Canada was a child's dream, I need to get serious about my future because I'm reaching that peak.

Alright it's 2:24 AM and I think I feel myself getting tired so I'm going to knock out, if you read this blog to this very period then I thank you. Kotex fits. Period.

Time

Time for the elephnat crew is hurting right now, since majority of the crew has school next week. The rest, just RJ, got a job and is now working almost the whole day. This means that elephnat will not be broadcasting live game nights too often, and will definitely slow down the process of "UP2". Don't fear though! you probably aren't anyways.. We will do our best to keep on track and entertain all of you who keep update to us.

Anthony, RJ, and I are going to go watch Pineapple Express today! Maybe along with a few friends, I can't wait. Aside from that I don't really know anything else, I'm sorry my social life is at a crisis! Go to MSN .com or something and read news there.

Resident Evil 5 Footage

Some gameplay footage of the upcoming Resident Evil 5 was released today. It definitely looks like it's an extension of RE4, which was highly acclaimed for it's action packed gameplay and boss fights, but for some reason this game just doesn't look it has enough of the creepiness factor. In RE4 it was always kinda foggy, overcast weather, or dark areas. This trailer shows you fighting off some zombies in broad daylight, in wide open terrain, and with the help of some AI controlled person backing you up. Now I know there's gonna be some scary ass parts in there somewhere, but I hope they outnumber the parts of the game where you'll be out in the daylight like in the trailer...

Skate 2 Info Revealed

Some news came out on Skate 2 today which revealed some new additions to the core game. You'll be able to finally step off your board and walk up those damn stair sets or over obstacles in your path. You'll also be able to do a combination of finger flips, grab-grinds, and be able to skate vert without pulling your hair out. Anyways pictures speak 1000 words so here is some footage...

Wal-Mart 360 Seen Better Days

It seems that even the newer "Halo Edition" 360's aren't RROD proof. With the improved cooling and cooler running processor, this 360 still suffered from some type of hardware failure. Being that this is a demo station that RROD'ed (and a hyped up Halo edition to boot) this isn't exactly showing new console buyer's the 360's strengths, although RROD's aren't new in the first place. I wonder how long that 360 has been like that...

Gaming Is Fashion

This video pisses me off, I have no idea on whether this guy is being serious or not. This insults not only me but many of those true gamers. I speak with much belief that us real gamers take a great amount of offense from this music video. This video is only uploaded to hurt our reputation, if we had a good one at all..

I can see all the scrubs in Moreno's class cheering this song on, they would think that this video is totally awesome, or hate it with a passion because of someone popular in the class. This may not seem like an urgent issue to you but I am sure that our golden days are finished. Gaming is now a fashion with the society in this century. Most assuredly the gamers that were outcasted from the world's society are rejoicing, hurray for them but not really. These gamers were just filed under "nerds". Gamers and Nerds are different lunch subjects! That also sickens me. I am a true hardcore gamer to the end, I see this future as a danger to the gamer's way of life. I loved to be outcasted, only having other gamer friends to talk with and play with.

I am sad to say that I am too growing into society's change, I have a more social life. The Golden Age has ended.

Mariah Carey Free Concert

Swamp Butt, Nikes, and Mariah Carey!

Yo check it. Sonia, Cathy, Michael, and myself went to Hollywood to see a teacher from our school that we knew to preform a T.V. series known as "Ten Years Younger" or something like that. When we arrived at the Kodak theatre we ran into multiple Spidermans, or Spidermen. All shapes and sizes, both ways of size *hint*, including one rocking them red/blue Nikes! That's how he can climb on walls and do all that sexy yoga stuff!

I had no idea that overalls could give you such a terrible swamp crack! I had to wait in a line at McDonalds just to wipe, Wiiiiiiiiiiiipe Out! Not only that problem but a friggin crazy bum hoggin' the sink and threatening people that he'll kick their ass, including Michael! Holy gizmole was that intense. After that we walked, took pictures with celebs, blew up Air Force 1, and waited for the free Mariah Carey concert. We had to wait 4 hours just to see her live performance, me and Michael only stayed for 2 songs then had to sit down somewhere. The concert was packed! Even the Joker was there!

To tie up that wonderful day we drove to the mountains to gaze over the city's beautiful lights, also releasing the aggrivating urge to take a leak. Much fun.

NVIDIA's GeForce 9500 GT

Good news PC gamers on a budget, NVIDIA has released the GeForce 9500 GT. Whats that mean to you? Well its a pretty decent Video Card for under a C-note. Now what your probably wondering is...."what are the specs?". Wellit has a 550 Mhz core clock, 1400 Mhz shader clock, 32 stream processors, 800 Mhz memory clock, 256/512 megs or RAM and 2 DVI ports on the back. And as you imagined it performs faster that ATI's equivalent. All in all this is a really good deal. If you haven't already went out to go get one while reading this.....im done now.Get your butt up and go buy it.

Apple copies Microsoft?

Ah how the mighty have fallen. For those of you who know us personaly,we hate Apple...with a passion. So that means you guys automatically hate them just as much. Well rumor has it that next itteration of the ipod nano will look very similar (almost identical)to 4/8 gb Zune's. And to top it off,the videos will even play in landscape mode.....like the zune. Oh well, you know what they say, mimicking is the sincerest form of flattering.

Customizable Avatars Not So Customizable?

In an attempt to counter PS3's new socializing network "Home" (which isn't even out yet), MS is about to renovate it's current Xbox Live service with a fresh new look. Among other things, the new "Xbox Live Experience" will tout customizable 3D avatars that will replace the stale Gamer Pics that could be found on your gamer card. Unfortunately, and as expected, just paying to have a Gold account isn't enough to appease MS and they are already thinking of ways to turn this feature into a cash-cow.

Although MS is claiming that the new 3D avatars will have a ton of customizable content upon release, they also stated that eventually there will be certain content that will have a price-tag (just like purchasing those Gamer Pics). So yeah...I think we all know where this is headed. Why should we care? Well if this catches on to be profitable, MS will think of more ways to have us pay for features that should be free or included in the first place. I'm not against paying people for their work, but it's stuff like this that just gets to me. I continue to spread the word, don't pay for demo's that should be free in the first place, don't pay to get "new weapons" or "cheats" that should be in the game already upon release, etc. Don't support this kind of stuff, and maybe we can start getting this stuff for free just like we used to.

Goodbye Windows?

According to a report, Microsoft isn't just looking at the next version of Windows (no, not Mojave) for future OS possibilities, but is looking beyond the Windows architecture altogether with a project known as Midori. The new OS is still in the "incubation" phase (which puts it slightly closer to market than R&D projects), but Microsoft has admitted to its existence, and the Software Daily Times says at least one team in Redmond is actively working on the new architecture.

The basis for the platform centers around research related to Microsoft's Singularity project, and envisions a distributed environment where applications, documents, and connectivity are blurred in a cloud-computing phantasmagoria which can be run natively or hosted across multiple systems. The researchers are working to create a concurrent / parallel distribution of resources, as well as a method of handling applications across separate machines -- religiously-dubbed the Asynchronous Promise Architecture -- which will set the stage for a backwards-compatible operating system built from the ground up, with networks of varying size in mind. Says the SD Times, "The Midori documents foresee applications running across a multitude of topologies, ranging from client-server and multi-tier deployments to peer-to-peer at the edge, and in the cloud data center. Those topologies form a heterogeneous mesh where capabilities can exist at separate places." Like it technical? Hit the read link for an in-depth look at the possible shape of Microsoft's future.
