Just posting an update right now cause I'll probably be surrounded in gaming bliss for the remainder of the day (Brothers in Arms Hells Highway, Civ4 Colonization, and Warhammer, oh my). First off, me and my bro picked up a copy of Warhammer Online. It's totally reminiscent of WoW, if they didn't get the license to use their engine then it seriously could be some kind of copyright infringement. Anyway it's been fun for the first few levels (or Ranks) just mindlessly killing stuff and getting back into an MMO (...I wonder how long this one will last, AoC totally had issues). Some quick features about the game I like so far:
- Public Quests: You can just roll up into an area and then join a quest that's going on at that instant. It's open to everyone around the area for the quest and depending on how much you contribute to completing the quest, the better chance of scoring the big loot at the end. These take about 5 min or so to complete and offer some pretty good loot for your time (so far).
- Lore: All the orcs/greenskins are retarded which makes for some funny yet hard to read dialogue.
- Open RvR: You're immediately flagged for PvP once you enter the game. There's like only 2 areas that you're safe at, so you're constantly getting renown or honor from the get go. You can start cashing in renown points for some nice gear / potions which helps jumpstart you into the game.
