Zune 3.0 Software Update Released

The new 3.0 software update for the Zune came out earlier today, adding a few more features to both the Zune software and firmware. You can now tag songs that you hear over the radio (assuming the radio station streams the artits/track data needed) and you can also use the Zune Marketplace from your Zune and download songs directly through the WiFi connection. There's also built in support for games now, two are available with the firmware update which are Texas Hold'em and Hexic.

The software for the Zune Marketplace has also been updated, you can now burn anything you download from the marketplace to CD/DVD. There is also a new channels section where you can find playlists of songs that are reccommended for you based off the songs you listen to, and also "themed" playlists like a workout playlist that is rated at a certain BPM for exercising. All in all this is much more than I expected this holiday season from MS. Now if they would just open up all artists for the Zune Pass....
