LittleBigPlanet, amazing. Guitar Hero World Tour? Freaking horrible. Gamestop's return/exchange policy? Totally fooked up.
So me and Jason wake up extra early on Sunday (read: 8:30AM) and drive down to Gamestop to pick up Guitar Hero IV. We got it, came back home and hooked everything up and started playing in under 10 minutes. Now you know how you get when you get something new that flashes? We were really psyched about the Guitar and how you could put the pedal anywhere you wanted unlike RB's drums. Anyway we plowed through the menus, forgetting to sync up, and played through the first couple of songs. Then Jason shouts out to me what I totally don't want to hear after dropping $200 on a game. He tells me the red drum pad is not working and lets me try it out. Yeah, he's right, I have to smack the shit out of it just to get it to recognize a hit.
So we pack it up and I drive straight back telling them that the drum set is defective and I'd like to exchange it for another one. This chick, who I think is the manager because she was telling off her employees and had a bitchy attitude, tells me the bundles were supposed to have stickers that say I can't return them to the store and that all exchanges were handled through Activision. She then points to a Rock Band bundle and it has a sticker and shes like there it is, see. Then one of her employees tells her that my game was different and that it was supported by a different company. She tells him off and then tells me that Id have to contact Activision for an exchange, giving me the Playstation support number, not Activision.
Anyway long story short we end up calling corp HQ of Gamestop and they tell us that we can exchange at another store, so we did. Brought home the new one and theres still an issue with the red drum pad, AND the guitar wireless receiver dies after one song...
Stay away from this game.
