Remember that one cool looking game that intel was backing to show off its brand new core duo's a billion years ago? I know you remember that sick tornado that was gobbling everything up and tossing them around with that impressive physics engine that completely ran on your 2nd core while the game was handled on the 1st core. Yeah! That game, Alan Wake. It appears that the game didn't really disappear and that it's still being developed, and that a trailer for the game will be released sometime mid-month. I remember the game looking damn good back then but now that it's been about a billion years, I wonder if it will still have the same impression.
Speaking of physics...if you're running an nVidia 8-series card or higher, nVidia is finally putting their Ageia acquisition to use and has released some drivers that enable PhysX type of performance to games that feature PhysX. I tested out some demos that had that tech in and to be honest I wasn't too impressed. Yeah the walls were really deformable but they seemed like they had no weight to them, then again these were just tech demos and not really "games". I just feel bad for those who wasted 200 bucks on the Ageia card....
